Amanda Hoskin

Amanda was born and grew up in Cornwall. She was educated at Tremough Convent, then attended Falmouth and Chelsea Colleges of Art and Cornwall College.

After finishing art school she became a freelance wildlife illustrator but while working and living in London, she began to miss Cornwall. In the early 90's she decided to move back and work as a sailing instructor in the summer months, which left her free to travel during the winter. During this time she continued to paint, changing medium from watercolour to oils. Her style became much freer and she began to concentrate on skies and landscapes, which constantly change - this gave her a great deal of inspiration and was far more challenging.

Towards the end of the 90s, Amanda decided to paint full time and has exhibited her work widely throughout the UK. She is a highly regarded artist and her paintings are greatly sought-after.
