Amanda Hoskin - Original Commissions

Looking for a special painting? A certain view?
Or a specific size to fill a space on your wall?

Amanda has been an exhibitor here at the gallery for nearly thirty years and in addition to selling her paintings, limited edition prints, books and greeting cards, we also handle commission requests on her behalf, so if you'd like to commission Amanda to paint something personal for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and we'll answer any questions you might have.

How it works

First, contact us with the specifics of the painting you'd like - include information like the location/view that you have in mind, the size you'd like, any other little details, like the season (i.e. is it in the summer with lots of flowers or winter with snow covering the ground etc). Any photographs you have could be really helpful. We'll then provide you with a quote and if you decide you'd like to take it further, we'll contact Amanda and get an idea of her availability. If she decides to undertake the commission, a small deposit (10% of the total price) would be required at this time. Amanda will then start creating your perfect painting! 

Please note that Amanda will only undertake commissions that fall naturally in line with her usual style and the subject matters for which she's known, like landscapes, seascapes and still lives. She won't, for example, undertake portraits.

Timeline

Commissions normally take months, not weeks so please be sure to make any request well ahead of time! As things progress, we'll provide updates and pass along any messages.

Pricing

Amanda's original commissions cost no more than a standard 'off the wall' painting. Her pricing is very transparent and is simply based on the measurements of the piece, so when you tell us the size of painting that you'd like, we can give you an exact quote before you commit to anything. Framing is also included in the quote so like the paintings you may have seen in the gallery, each commission comes beautifully presented and ready to hang!
