Sally MacCabe

Five new paintings coming early-April 2024!

Sally is a mixed media artist and maker who lives in St Ives.

She works with a variety of materials, producing paintings, artists’ books, sculptures and collaged hangings and her work is renowned for its subtle palette of greys and soft blues.

Many of her abstract paintings are an intuitive exploration of texture and applied ephemera where the final outcome is unknown. Other artworks are determined by a theme or current project. The use of sketchbooks is an integral part of her process.

Some of her recent pieces involve stitch and textiles which create an interesting fusion of techniques.
