Jane Muir

Jane was born in Surrey, 1966. She studied ceramics for seven years, gathering a 1st Class BA(Hons) at the Central School of Art & Design and an MA at the Royal College of Art in London.

From 1992 she took a three year post as an artist in residence. During this time her work was widely exhibited in the UK (notably the V&A Ceramic Contemporaries), Europe and Japan. She has also won several awards and her work has appeared in articles in Ceramic Review, The Daily Telegraph and Royal Academy Magazine. In 1997, she set up her studio in London.

Jane’s sculptures are hand built and hand decorated using stoneware glazes.
